Delivering Results for Sheboygan
My Story
I was born and raised in Howards Grove in Sheboygan County alongside my 3 sibilings. As a young girl, I watched my great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents pour their time and energy into their family business. This instilled in me a pride in hard work which I still carry with me today. From a young age, I learned that when you take responsibility for your work, it allows you to feel joy and take pride in helping others.

I'm proud to call the Sheboygan area my home. I married my husband Nick in 2002 and we have raised two beautiful children, Alyssa and Logan. I have been a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Howards Grove, graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School in 1995, and attended Lakeshore Technical College where I earned my paralegal degree.
I'm humbled by our community and the support I received during my first term in office and I look forward to serving in the future.

My Priorities
Addressing Rising Costs:
As a mom, Amy understands how rising costs are squeezing Wisconsin families. From groceries and household items to utility bills and leisure activities... inflation hurts us all. That's why Amy passed tax relief for middle class families and seniors on a fixed income, and she helped address childcare costs for families with small children. It's important for you to keep more of your hard-earned money and stop destructive efforts to raise taxes.
Putting Us First:
Working for the family business and raising her own family, Amy knows firsthand the issues and challenges our local communities face. She passed legislation to help lower healthcare costs and invested in our roads and bridges. She also supported local police, fire, and EMS by making sure they have the resources needed to keep us safe.
Fighting the Drug Epidemic and Securing Our Border:
It's important we continue to fight against the fentanyl and drugs pouring into our communities and human trafficking that hurts so many lives. That's why Amy voted to send resources to help secure our Southern border and passed reforms to hold criminals accountable. She also worked closely with the Sheboygan County Human Trafficking Taskforce to help address this rising issue.
Supporting Women and Families
Strong families are the foundation of a strong community, and as a wife and mother, Amy knows this better than anyone. During her first term in the legislature, Amy voted to expand access to birth control, extend postpartum care for new mothers, and support access to IVF for women struggling to conceive. She has always supported exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother, and co-authored a bill to solidify these exceptions in state law. Also during this legislative session, Amy co-authored a bill to send the issue of abortion to a referendum for the people of Wisconsin to decide.
